Review of 2021 – a challenging yet exciting year for AssetMetrix
2021 was a challenging yet exciting year for AssetMetrix. Whilst parts of the year almost felt as if we had gone back to pre-pandemic standards, with face-to-face meetings and events being carried out again, others forced us to re-adapt to the pandemic circumstances and return to virtual outings and remote working.
Despite the challenges the pandemic continues to bring, we managed to make 2021 a strong year for AssetMetrix. We strengthened our team, hiring 24 new colleagues and continued our expansion strategy. Recognising the importance of Luxembourg within the private capital industry, we opened a new office to deepen existing and new client relationships in Luxembourg, France and Belgium.
In the past year, we also managed to forge many new partnerships. Not only did we become accepted as members of ALFI, LPEA and Aktive Owners Denmark, we are also delighted to have welcomed new clients. AssetMetrix has succeeded in growing its home market in Germany across both LPs and GPs, managed to enter the Swiss market and continued the growth in Switzerland throughout 2021. The team has further managed to grow the services and existing clients across Europe, thanks to the company’s commitment to client centricity, being able to meet complex client needs early on.
Partially responsible for the success are our ESG solutions for GPs and LPs, for which we were awarded as “Best ESG Solution Provider” by Private Equity Wire at the beginning of last year. Our team worked hard to enable both LPs and GPs to face enhanced reporting requirements. We are proud of our achievements in this regard and will keep innovating to contribute towards enabling standardised ESG reporting and monitoring for the Private Equity industry.
We would like to thank all our clients and partners – both existing and newly signed – for their trust, as well as our team, which is doing a remarkable job in serving our customers!
