Review of the 2017 financial year

AssetMetrix looks back on a successful year 2017

In 2017, AssetMetrix built on its position as Europe’s leading provider of high-end analytics and individual asset servicing for private capital investors. The acquisition of new national and international clients more than doubled the total of assets under service. At the end of 2017, AssetMetrix services €7 billion of assets and more than 700 funds.

In order to serve the growing number of clients, AssetMetrix has brought in new talent to strengthen its team. With a current workforce of 35 employees, we continue to expand our range of services and are in close contact with our customers. In this way, we are able to do justice to our aspiration as an asset service provider, while at the same time differentiating ourselves from pure platform or software providers by providing personal support and taking over administrative activities.

One of the most important milestones in 2017 was the introduction of the new Limited Partner Portal 2.0, which, alongside a refreshed design, offers our customers interactive dashboards, transparent functionalities and innovative analytical tools.

Underlining our leading role as a next generation asset service provider, in May 2017 we published a study entitled “Ready for the Change? Private Capital Operations in the Digital Age.” The study inspired many exciting conversations with private capital investors who recognize both the need for accelerated digitization in the sector and the benefits of the flexible outsourcing solutions offered by AssetMetrix. The study was presented and discussed at numerous conferences and published in various publications, including the Absolut Report.

In 2017, AssetMetrix used a variety of networking and “thought leadership” events to present its modular range of services and highlight the benefits to be gained by private capital investors. Its presence at major national and international events in the capacity of sponsor, exhibitor or participant, enabled AssetMetrix to benefit from new customer contacts and increase brand awareness.

In addition to networking at numerous events, AssetMetrix is active at a sector association level, which provides further opportunities to expand its own network and interact with players from the private capital sector. In autumn 2017, AssetMetrix became a member of the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and joined the AltExchange Alliance.

Emmeram von Braun, founder and managing director of AssetMetrix GmbH, is optimistic about the coming year: “We are delighted with the successes achieved in 2017. We wish to continue the success story in 2018 and convince new customers of the benefits of our modular outsourcing solutions. We also intend to roll out new and exciting products and tools. I would like to thank our existing customers for their trust and cooperation. Thanks are also due to our fantastic team, which has continued to develop and implement our innovative range of services with great dedication and expertise.”
